Fixed problems with the user settings, added Amiga cursor.
Fixed a missing file which broke the user settings from working.
Added an Amiga style cursor to the site.
Added Throttle, Frameskip, Number of Drives and Overclocked options
I have added the options to specify throttle, frameskip, number of drives and if your N900 is overclocked or not, when submitting you compatibility reports.
You can also update any of your older compatibility reports with this information.
[UPDATE]
All earlier problems with changes not saving should now be resolved.
Fixed title font error
Fixed the titlebar font problem, it is now back to Amiga Topaz again like it should be.
It seems some odd caching glitch meant it looked fine on my home PC but I realised there was a problem the first time I checked in a public access centre.
Revised the site design to look even more like Workbench 2
In case anyone does not know, I am one of the few people who use Kickstart 2 in UAE4All because my first Amiga was an A600 and some of my games are formatted as FFS floppies so require it. It also just feels right as I rarely had to deal with Kickstart 1.3, 99% of games worked fine on Kickstart 2.
You will of course have noticed I modelled the site on Workbench 2. I did consider making it look properly like an A500 but Workbench 1, not to put too fine a point on it, was ugly. It was revolutionary for its time but Workbench 2 is much easier on the eyes and allowed a retro look without being unpleasant to use.
Today I added a Window to my "Workbench" to give it that last authentic feel. The beauty of this is I also noticed I had a few spare pixels so it still fits perfectly on the N900 even with the simulated scroll bar taking up space, it fits exactly the same amount of data as before.
I also shrunk the UAE4ALL logo to the same width as the HDD icon so I could squeeze on the Thanks/Contacts menu item on the N900. (in MicroB full-screen mode at least)
Lastly, thanks to Amiga.org I found the A600 Topaz font in TTF format so I was able to make the title bars look more authentic. I hope everyone likes the changes, I know I do.
OpenID Now Supported!
By request from smoku (the author of UAE4All Maemo) I have added OpenID support to the site.
What this means is if you have an account at maemo.org you can use that to register on this site by simply clicking a few buttons, you do not have to fill in any details other than date format and time zone. You will still be sent a registration e-mail as normal, I chose to leave this turned on as a backup login for people in case maemo.org stop supporting OpenID or change your login URL. However you can safely ignore it and login using your OpenID instead.
To find out your maemo.org OpenID login name visit http://maemo.org/openid/ and login. I have not tested any other OpenID provider so it will be interesting to see if for example Google works.
There is still at least one known bug that may or may not be a problem. There s an extra forward slash when maemo.org redirects back to this site, which may cause problems in some browsers. If it does, try removing the extra slash (its right after the domain name) from the url and press enter. Hopefully, it will then continue but it certainly doesn't seem to cause a problem in Firefox.
Welcome to the official UAE4Maemo launch
Today I officially release this site to the scrutiny of the maemo.org community.
Please let me know if you find any bits I have missed that have not been updated to refer to UAE.
I have added the top 250 Amiga games from MobyGames to the database to get us started. I have also added any not in that 250 that had already been reported in the compatibility thread at maemo.org.
No doubt some games people are testing will not be in that list. In that case, make a post in the message board letting me know what games you want added to the list. I did not want to add all 2383 games they have listed at MobyGames as the chances are we will only test a few hundred of those at best and it would still likely be missing shareware games anyway, so it would just have made finding the right game in the list a pain.
Welcome to UAE4Maemo
I have created a clone of my SSF Tribute site in order to ease creation of a UAE4All compatibility list.
I have called the site UAE4Maemo in case any other UAE port shows up that might need its own compatibility list too.
Currently the site is sparse and there may still be mention of SSF as its a direct copy of the scripts. I will be updating it to cater specifically to UAE4All in the coming days before an official launch on maemo.org.
